Volunteer Ministries

Provides services that fall to their lot – prepares the altar and elements for Holy Communion, Baptismal Services, Spiritual Unions and Weddings. Assist the Office of the Pastor as requested. Operates and manages the From the Heart Clothing Center, which is available to members.

This ministry leads the congregation in song during Worship and Holy Communion Services and other programs as requested.

Distributes CDs and DVDs after Worship Services and operates Church Bookstore.

Supports the overall Biblical learning of From the Heart Harrisburg. Through a variety of engaging experiences, members and the community increase in the knowledge of God and of Jesus Christ our Lord so that God’s grace and peace may abound.

Provides support at various enrichment and training classes, members meetings and serves as requested by the Office of the Pastor.  Prepares and serves food for various occasions as requested.

Use drama, dance, and poetry to seek and save the lost and edify the body of Christ in the local church by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.

A small vocal ensemble established to lift up God’s holy name through songs of praise and worship, and hymns during Worship Services.

This ministry intercedes in prayer for the pastor, the membership and family members of From the Heart of Harrisburg, as well as, the overall Body of Christ. Submit a prayer request.

Receives new members when they join the church and encourages them to begin the necessary steps toward full membership. Provides initial contact and follow-up to new converts to help them keep their commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ. Also, on behalf of the pastor, they contact the membership of the Church to check on their spiritual, emotional and physical well-being. Provides general information and direction to members and their families to make sure that they have access to membership benefits and services. 

This ministry assist the local church in carrying out the vision, plan and motivation of the church through building a technological infrastructure that will help spread the Gospel beyond the physical church building. Provides audio and video coverage of worship services and special events.

Strives to develop a group of children and youth who would live for and serve God uncompromisingly by teaching them godly principles, values, and practical life examples, and Christ-centered lessons based upon the rightly divided Word of God.

Cares for the needs of infants and young children while their parents attend service.  God’s Word is ministered in a simple, scriptural, Christ-centered, and fun manner through songs, crafts, and creative presentations, designed to nurture the whole child.

Provides passenger transportation services to members and visitors.

Greets all members, guests and visitors attending the services by assisting with seating or giving directions to different locations within the building.

Provides youth a Christian environment where they can enjoy games, activities and the fellowship of others; where they are naturally and spiritually enriched and where they have the opportunity to learn about and grow close to God.
