About From the Heart of Harrisburg
Who We Are, What We Believe and How We Believe ItFrom the Heart Church Ministries of Harrisburg is a non-denominational church that is part of From the Heart Church Ministries Worldwide™. In January 2000, Ronald L. Young was a minister on staff at From The Heart Church Ministries® Parent Church. With the blessings of the late Founding Pastor, Dr. John A. Cherry, he relocated to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to start the Bread of Life Church Ministries. When the Episcopal Pastor began receiving other ministries into From the Heart Church Ministries® as Reformation churches, Pastor and Mrs. Young transitioned from the Bread of Life Church Ministries to From the Heart Church Ministries of Harrisburg in March 2003.
From the Heart Church Ministries of Harrisburg is a lively and exciting church and on June 15, 2008 our current church facility was dedicated by Dr. Cherry. The Harrisburg church is the first From the Heart Church that was organized into a full- service church, including purchasing its permanent church home, without any financial assistance from the Parent Church. From the Heart of Harrisburg hosted the October 2009 bi-annual Episcopal Council Meeting and From the Heart Pastors Conference. From the Heart of Harrisburg has experienced tremendous growth over the years.
On Sunday, July 7, 2019 Pastor and Reverend Young retired from active ministry and Episcopal Pastor John A. Cherry, II installed Pastor Reginald Covington as the new Pastor. Pastor and Mrs. Covington continue to build on the foundation that was laid, helping to prepare the church for the next move of God.
